At Pathchala, we are dedicated to empowering women and adolescent girls. Our mission is to create opportunities, provide resources, and foster environments where women can thrive and lead fulfilling lives. We believe that empowered women are the key to sustainable development and social change.
We aspire to empower women by providing access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and leadership training. We strive to eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence, ensuring that women and girls can achieve their full potential. During our parent teacher engagement, the mothers of the children attend these sessions and there is an interactive session where the mothers share their daily family struggles and challenges. It is here where we are able to put into action our several programs where we exchange ideas to bring about a change in household dynamics to create a happy, stress free and non-violent living environment.
Empowering Lives Through skills development and education
At Pathchala, we place great emphasis on Vocational Training by offering skills development programs designed to enhance employment opportunities. We encourage both current and former students to master practical skills that not only help them earn a living but also improve their overall quality of life. Literacy programs are also a top priority for us. We are dedicated to empowering adult women by teaching essential reading and writing skills, ensuring that no one is left behind in their pursuit of knowledge.
Furthermore, we are committed to supporting girls’ and women’s education. Through scholarships and grants facilitated by our partnerships, we aim to provide financial assistance, enabling them to continue their education and achieve their dreams.
Join us in building brighter futures, one skill, one lesson, and one opportunity at a time.
Our Healthcare initiatives focus on key areas such as reproductive health education, maternal health and mental health support.
These programs aim to ensure that women have access to the resources and care they need to lead healthier lives. One of our primary efforts includes improving maternal health by offering support and guidance during pregnancy and motherhood. In addition, we emphasize reproductive health education, equipping women with critical knowledge about family planning and sexual health to enable informed decision-making. To address the growing need for mental health awareness, we also provide counseling and mental health services (by inviting leading doctors and psychiatrists), offering emotional support and breaking the stigma around mental well-being.
As part of our commitment to menstrual hygiene, we conduct regular drives to distribute sanitary napkins among women and adolescent girls, ensuring they have access to basic necessities. Through these initiatives, Pathchala strives to create a healthier and more supportive community for women and young people.
Ending Gender-Based Violence:
At Pathchala, we are deeply committed to combating gender-based violence through comprehensive prevention and awareness initiatives. Our programs focus on educating communities, raising awareness, and offering support services to women and girls affected by violence. To foster understanding and prevention, we employ creative strategies such as storytelling, dramatics, street plays, and song-and-dance performances, effectively engaging audiences and sparking conversations about this critical issue.
Through awareness campaigns, we strive to educate communities about the profound impact of gender-based violence, encouraging a collective commitment to change. By addressing the root causes and promoting dialogue, our initiatives aim to create safer and more supportive environments for women and girls.
Many of our esteemed elderly Board Members dedicate their time by coming to school every day to teach and mentor the children, offering them invaluable guidance. Their commitment serves as a powerful example, not only for our students but also for society at large. Through their efforts, they inspire a sense of responsibility to give back to the community and help shape a brighter future by nurturing the next generation to become exemplary citizens.
